What To Do After A Crash.
Steps to keep in mind if you're involved in an accident.
Call Ambulance & Police
When an accident happens, you will be disoriented. The most important thing to do is to call for help. Even if you feel fine, you might have internal injuries.
Exchange Information
Make sure important information is exchanged with everyone involved in the accident. Important things to get from others:
- Full legal names
- Their current address
- Phone numbers
- Insurance name & policy number
- License plate & registration number
Document
Details of an accident begin to fade away moments after it happens. Before they do, make sure to write down everything you remember about how it happened. Also make sure to take photos. Find witnesses, get their statements, and their contact information.
Your Legal Rights
Don't discuss the accident with others — only answer the officer's questions. The officer will give you a case number. Note the case number and call Larry, the lawyer that rides, to discuss your legal rights and options.
Your initial consultation is always free.
